Welcome to Clash of Chores. By accessing or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

Clash of Chores is a family chore-tracking progressive web app that allows families to assign chores, earn points, and redeem rewards. The app is available as a web app and may be distributed through app stores.

2. Accounts & Registration

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• Parent/guardian accounts are created with email and password via Firebase Authentication.
• Kid accounts are created by a parent/guardian and use a family code and PIN — no personal email is required for children.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create a parent account, or have a parent/guardian create and manage a kid account on your behalf.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
• Upload inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content (including profile photos and chore descriptions).
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality or servers.
• Use automated tools or scripts to access the app.

4. Family Data & Content

• You retain ownership of all content you create in the app (chore names, reward descriptions, photos, etc.).
• By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the service.
• The parent/guardian who creates a family is the administrator and is responsible for all content and activity within that family account.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

• Clash of Chores offers a free tier and an optional premium subscription.
• Premium subscriptions are billed through our payment processor (Stripe). Pricing and billing frequency are displayed before purchase.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access to premium features will continue until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds are handled in accordance with the applicable app store or payment processor policy.

6. Availability & Changes

• We strive to keep the app available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
• We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.
• We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that may harm other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us or using the data deletion page.

8. Limitation of Liability

Clash of Chores is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data or interruption of service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with standard legal procedures.
